Workout Wednesday – Walking Along

I promise that this will be my last tired, late night Workout Wednesday post.  My Sister and her kids are leaving tomorrow and I think life will be back to normal chez BeachMama.  As much fun as it is to have them here, it is always intense.  The kids play and play and play knowing they have limited time, we all stay up late and are exhausted.  They should just move back already so we can spread out the Love.

Alas, this week was a little weak on the workout front.  I did a lot of walking.  I had to the weather was just too gorgeous.  Three 3km walks to the grocery store for food.  And one strength training workout.  We also did a walking tour of  the  Market  in Downtown Ottawa, which totally counts as a workout when there are six kids and three adults.

On the good front, I have maintained the muscle that I had started gaining and have lost an inch around my waist and a half inch off of each thigh.  I forgot to measure my arms, but they feel less jiggly, so I am pretty sure they are doing well.  In addition I am happy to report that I am back into my Spring clothes from pre-Apple.  Now, if only I can get into my pre-J Summer clothes in another month I will be so ecstatic.

Keep up the workouts everyone, and get walking!  The weather is so great, I have to break out the sunscreen tomorrow as we are all sporting glowing red cheeks.  And don’t tell my dermatologist, but it feels GREAT!

Back to the regular workouts for me, I really want to fit a few cute sundresses that I used to wear.

Fantastic progress Anna! The measuring is a good way to see progress when you are building muscle. Keep up the great work and splurge on a new lulu outfit in a couple of months. Then you can run/walk in style 🙂

You’re right, the weather has been absolutely GORGEOUS here!
I’ve been trying to take advantage of it as much as I can and trying to make sure I get some good use out of this jogging stroller!

It’s been a little frustrating because I’ve actually gained almost 10 pounds.. but I’m hoping it’s just muscle lol

I’d love to be able to fit into one of my old summer dresses in time for munchkin’s birthday party next month!

Awesome stuff, Anna!! 🙂 I’ve actually been going on daily walks with Little One every day since the weather has been so gorgeous! Walking with a baby in the Baby Bjorn is like a cardio AND resistance training workout! LOL!

It’s been a while since I last popped by. We’re heading to MTL for a wedding in May and are passing through Ottawa…. 🙂

The weather is so beautiful eh. I can’t wait for the weekend even if it is supposed to be cooler.

The weather is just awesome, thankfully, and finally! This has made me start eating better and getting more serious about thinking about going to the gym. 😉 I mean, seriously! OR walking on my lunch hour. To Rideau Centre. Okay, all joking aside, I’m excited to start biking again, and walking with my kids after work. I have a ton of clothes I want to get back into!

Yes, we are walking lots too. It feels great. I am so proud to say I am still doing the 30-day Shred, I have only missed the days that I was really sick. It’s a great workout, I am still on level one but will move up in another day or two. I’m in less pain now and am actually feeling a little “firmer”, lol. Great job on measuring – I haven’t done it but really should so I can compare at the end of the my 30 days. My big goals were firmer, more toned upper arms and thighs.
