This weekend.
We planted gardens. Both flowers and vegetables/herbs (forgot to take a photo of that).
We put up the pool. And had the annual play in the pool while it is filling up and get soaking wet with cold water so you have the shivers, which included Apple this year. And now when we go outside to play she starts taking her shoes and pants off and asks to go for a ‘swim’, which sounds almost the same as ‘swing’.
We went to the Barrhaven Family Fun Run. We did it last year and it was 32c, it wasn’t as hot this year, but it was still nice out. Which I will totally do by myself next year and do the 5k. Hubby wasn’t into it until he started running. J only wanted to go in the stroller and yell, “Yahoo!!” and Apple wanted to run.
I begged the kids, Hubby, anyone to come and smell a flower so I could take a picture, J finally obliged. He kinda kept sticking his noes in too far though. Cute, but not quite what I was looking for. It was more fun to help Daddy with the pool.
J kept trying to freak me out with his friends pet caterpillar.
And I let Apple play with the water from the tap. It was the only way I could keep her from escaping to upstairs while I made dinner. She cried big huge tears when I finally turned it off. It was like it was the end of the world, only it was the end of water play.
And that was my weekend recap. No wonder I am so tired.

Sunshine!!!
Whew, that was a busy weekend but a fun one, which is all that matters! And also, your pool looks great…but really given the weather here this year, it would be a waste here. Enjoy it for us, will ya?
🙂
Busy busy! I’m glad you had fun with your family – it’s what life is all about 🙂
nice weekend. We spent the whole weekend doing yard work and cleaning. But I still enjoyed it. M used to play in the sink while I cooked all the time. I forgot about that. Ugh I am already forgetting things and he is only 4!
Great pics! That pool looks soooo nice! That will keep the kids happy this summer for sure. Dimitry loves playing in the sink. We usually just plop him on the counter with his feet IN the sink, one of us holding him from behind, and he loves it. He could stay there all day!
fun filled week-end! I planted my flowers a few weeks back but haven’t gotten around to the veggies and herbs yet, still too cold at nite! We opened our pool nearly a month ago and they got to splash around in it this week-end, finally! I remember that 32C day last year. I was at a golf tournament, which we had this year too, the weather was so much more bearable! And I too have so many pics of my kids at the sink playing with a running faucet, what mesmerizing entertainment for them!
take care
