Apple has finally made it to the table. We used the clip on chair for J and he loved it so, here we go again. I was getting tired of her yelling at me every time I sat down to eat. And even though Hubby saw it as his duty to hold her, I don’t exactly enjoy watching my daughter catch all the crumbs on her head. She is loving it! Even after three meals and some painting today, she is happy as a clam sitting with us at the table. Of course she thinks that food will be coming her way, but she still has to wait at least another month.

I was trying an impromptu photo session with the kids and although J was mostly cooperating, Apple wasn’t entirely into it. I did get a few great shots, but also a lot of J watching TV over my shoulder or Apple yelling again. These two are my favourites. You can just see the love coming from J. He was talking about our trip to Montreal last November and when describing the weekend he said, “Remember, when I didn’t like Apple?” I said, “No, I didn’t know you didn’t like Apple.” To which he replied, “But, I Love her now, so it’s Ok.” I guess it’s Ok, but in all fairness she was trouble in the car, so he is forgiven for not exactly Loving her to pieces every day. The most important thing is that he Loves her so much now. As you can tell in the next photo too. Not exactly Apple’s best shot, but my favourite of J.

I woke Apple from her nap (like I do most mornings) to pick up her brother from school. Drove the block to school, so sad I know, but if I let J come home, there is no going out again. Anyhow, drove to pick up J from school. Bribed him with a Rotten Ronnies drive thru. Drove down the picturesque Colonel By Drive, gazed at the World’s Largest Skating Rink. Went through a few side streets to get to Landsdowne Park and the Aberdeen Pavillion just so I could try to get some Lululemon cheap.
So did everyone else in Ottawa.
There was a three hour wait just to get in. With J and Apple, there was no way I was even going to chance it. We went to Costco instead. Bummer.
Conquering my ‘To Do’ list has become very important to me. I have so many projects that I want to do and so little time in which to do them that I have to schedule it with Hubby if I really want to get something done.
Saturday I had, had, had to finish some of them as they were part of a gift for my Littlest Sister’s birthday (littlest is so funny as she will be 24 and she is almost 6 feet tall, but she still is the skinniest so I guess she is little). My parents were heading down her way on Sunday so I figured I should finish up and save on the shipping.
Little Sis and I were talking about all the inspirations we have about stuff to do. That same day I received an email from Home Made Simple and there was this inspiration book. I knew I had to make her one. But, I did change it up just a little. I did not glue three pages together to make the page with the tab as I felt that was a waste of paper. And I didn’t write on the fabric, I just left it blank for her. I added some funky magnet paper clips (I should have photographed the whole present) and some matchy matchy stickies that she could use in the book. Hopefully it will give her inspiration to get going on her ‘To Do’ list as well.

She also mentioned wanting a reusable coffee holder, so I made her a couple with the same fabric as her laptop sleeve. These were the first two I have ever made, so they are not perfect, but she is used to trying out prototypes for me. I hope she loves it and gets some good use out of it.

I also added some fun stuff for her and I made one more thing. But, just in case she is reading this (watch today will be the day she checks out my blog) I don’t want to ruin the whole surprise. So Happy Early Birthday Littlest Sis, hope you have fun with Mom and Dad and we will chat on your real birthday in a little bit.
