That is what we got. He is gone now, off to a better place. As J said, “We will get to see him when we get to Heaven, in a very long time.”
Yes, indeed.
We decided not to hide the truth from J and that was probably the hardest thing, hearing his little sobs straight from his heart. But, Cosmo was in far too much pain to continue, it just wasn’t fair. So we had our last day together and tomorrow we will start to pick up the pieces.

I am so sorry.
Hugs…..
I’m sorry.
I’m so sorry for your loss.
I’m so sorry. Really, I am.
I am so sorry 🙁 We lost our family dog when I was in college. The first time I came home after she passed, there were still little paw prints in the carpet, and all my mom and I could do was hug and cry together.
People who don’t own (and therefore LOVE) dogs don’t entirely understand how much emptyness follows the loss of a beloved family dog. And how difficult to help a sweet little boy through it. My heart goes out to you!! Sending hugs and comfort your way…
Oh … I am so sorry! What a sad sad loss.
I’m so very sorry.
I am terribly sorry! I’ve been there and it is heartbreaking. Big hugs to all of you!
