One Day Last September…

….I had a little baby.  Today, almost six months later, she is sitting happily all by herself playing.  Somebody please tell me where the time has gone!

Only last week she was not sitting by herself, and here she is playing with her toys, usually rocking herself trying to advance on the floor.  Sad but true she is also almost crawling.  Left to her own devices she can scoot across the floor to get closer to her brother and his blanket or a favorite toy.  It won’t be long and I will be running after her I am sure.

It also warms my heart to see how much J loves his little Sister.  On the rare occasion he wishes she wasn’t there, but for the most part he just wants to play with her.  Yesterday was Parent Day at gymnastics.  Apple hung out with her Grandmother while J and I went to class.  We weren’t in the car five minutes when J declared, “I miss Apple”.  I was thrilled to hear it but, reminded him to remember that the next time she is screaming at him, a trick he taught her in the car on Sunday.  One we are desperately trying to undo.

That first picture is tugging at my heartstrings….It was only 4 years ago that my baby was doing the same…How quickly they grow up!

What a lovely post! Amazing how fast time just flies by! Your two kiddos are beautiful! I love the photos! Apple is so sweet and J looks like he’s such a doting big brother! 🙂

P.S. Dumb question, but how do you put the writing on your pics to ‘copyright’ them? You know…how did you put the (c)lifeisgoodatthebeach.ca on the photos? Please help your very technologically challenged friend here! 😉

    P.P.S. Here’s what’s on my fridge: http://lifeonmanitoulin.blogspot.com/2008/02/goinggoinggone.html

BeachMama: Not a dumb question at all. I use Photoshop Elements and add text. Then I press a bunch of buttons to make it clear, LOL… I had to look it up on Google. I wanted to be able to put a mark in but I don’ t have the full Photoshop, so went this way. It is time consuming but I don’t want people thinking they can pinch my photos from Flickr. If you have Photoshop let me know and I will send you the exact directions 🙂

One day last September I had a beautiful baby girl too (9/10 to be exact)! And she’s sitting, rolling and saying “Ga Ga!” Can’t believe how time flies. Sadly, it seems to fly even more when she spends 9 hours/day in daycare, instead of at home w/me like her older sister was.

Isn’t it crazy how fast they grow? The end of a pregnancy feels like an eternity, next thing you know, you’re dropping them off at preschool.

    I love that last shot.
Yes, the kids grow up so quickly!!! I just made an appointment for little G’s first visit to the dentist for her… my hygienist and I were talking about how it seemed like just yesterday that I was in there as very, very pregnant! Exactly as LVGurl says… G starts JK in September … ack!!!

This….. THIS really kills me. One of the hardest things for me is watching (AND letting) my kids grow up….. often I wish I could turn back the time, enjoy it just a little bit more…. love this post.
