J:”Mommy, it’s green”
Me:”Yes J but, that is not our light, our light is in front of us and it is red”.
J: “That’s ok Mommy, you can use the other green.”
—–
J:”Mommy, what is that stick?”
Me: “What Stick are you talking about?”
J: “That stick, there are a bunch of them sticking up from the ground.”
Me: “You mean the trees?”
J: “Is that what they are?”
Me: “Yes, buddy, they just don’t have any leaves yet.”
J: “Ohhhh, so they are sticks in the ground.”
Me: “Basically, Yes.”
——
J: “Mommy, what is that white stuff in the corn field?”
Me: Laughing hysterically, while trying to keep my eye on the road. “You mean the snow?”
J: “Snow?”
Me: “Yes, Bud, snow. It hasn’t all melted yet”.
J: “Ohhh… Hey Mommy?
Me: “Yes?”
J: “Stop laughing at me, it’s not that funny”
Me: “I can’t stop buddy, it is just that funny.”

Hahahahaha! So I am not the only one who has conversations like this with her kids?
I love the post title, by the way!
Thanks for the chuckle, it’s fun to see the world through their eyes. I think some drivers do use his logic from the first conversation!
🙂
How cute. I love these conversations with our little ones.
LOL!!! OMG! I LOVE it! That little J of yours is a cutie! Great that you can capture these cute conversations from the backseat forever (on the blog). It will be great to look back on when J’s older! Too cute!!!
P.S. Something else that made me chuckle as I read this post was that I noticed the BlogHer’s ad was for “Gripe Water”. The reason I was chuckling was because I always thought it was called “Grape Water”!!! Dang! It’s a good thing my sister-in-law didn’t ask me to go to Shoppers Drugmart to get some when my little nephew had colic!!!! HAHAHA! OMG…Can you tell I haven’t had any children of my own yet? *sigh* LOL!
c-u-t-e!!!!!!!!!!!!! X
I love hot their little minds work. You got neverending stories with that young man.
Hugs

What a cutie! Do you think permission to use the “other green” would hold up in court?
