Will he ever tire?

Of being my photo prop?  I dread the day.

I also need to start a photo blog, I think.

I was trying out a couple of backdrops today.  I tried a black one and a tan one. Two were sheets and one was a curtain panel.  I think I like the panel best, but it isn’t as long as the sheet. So, I need to try out a few more shots to decide for sure.

Then again maybe I should just get the paper backdrops.  I am just not sure if I want to use lighting.  I mean, I have it, but I much prefer natural light.  But, there are people who want plain backdrops in their photos, so I wanted to try some out.

These are SOOC (straight out of the camera) shots just playing around with J.  Love that kid, just love him to death.

I am currently working on my photographic portfolio (website coming soon) and am looking for some pregnant women and new babies, preferably one to two weeks old, to photograph.  If any of you are interested or know of someone who would be interested please either leave me a comment or use my contact form to get in touch with me.

I am offering  four sessions in total for Pregnant Moms and four sessions in total for babies.  Each session (1-2 hours of your time depending on cooperation of babies) is free of charge, either in my home or yours.  In the Ottawa area.  Anyone accepting should be willing to sign a model release that allows me to use your photographs on my website.  All photographs will be available to you in jpg format on a cd a week or two after our session.

Thank You

Picture in Picture

I received an invitation to join Jen’s Picture in Picture Project from Secret Agent Josephine the other day, and I didn’t hesitate to join up.  I love this idea, passing around photo after photo after photo and we just keep adding to it.

Apple was a little mad at me for making her hold the picture instead of crumple it into a little ball, but that is just the way it goes sometimes.  It was still the cutest picture of the ones I shot of her.

Then it was J’s turn, and I was trying to get the snow in the background for effect.  He gave me a few of his finest goofy grins, but he was still happy to do it.  And it seemed like a cool idea for him.  He has watched Bug star in several homemade movies so he thought it was cool that we had her photo to put in a photo.

Hubby liked the idea so much that we might try to do one of the family to send out to the Grandparents.  Kind of a neat way to do a family photo.
