So much goin’ on.

Our visit has been very full and very tiring. My Sister, who just had a baby a week and a half ago, by c-section, was involved with a Conference. Shine. I thought we were only attending on Saturday for a couple of hours, since she should have been resting. But, Friday morning, not only did she wake up refreshed and anew, but she informed me we were going to a dinner that night and would be there all day on Saturday. I not only was unprepared, but I needed something to wear. Off to go shopping!!

I don’t have any photos of me in my new dress or new skirt, but I do have one of my Sis in her new dress, with our Mom and baby (Did I mention he was 11lbs 1oz at birth???).

Here is one of myself and a few of the nice ladies we met. Speaking of which. At Friday’s dinner, a beautiful woman was sitting with us and we got chatting. And talk about small world of all small worlds. Other than my Sister, at that time I only knew one other person in Regina. Anna Banana. So this beautiful woman is telling us about her friend. And all of a sudden I said, “Are you talking about Anna Banana??” and she says yes! So here we were sitting at the same table out of over 500 women, how crazy is that? She too has a blog so you will all have to go over and say hi to her. HEY MELANIE!! Unfortunately I did not take a photo of us together, I am hoping to see her again before I go, so if I do we will be sure to get a photo.

Sunday was Ballet recital day. We attended last year and GR was thrilled that we were attending again this year. J has been talking about going to the ballet for weeks. We were a little worried that the two boys were going to be out of control. But, the lights went out and they were perfect gentlemen. Discussing the different dances and the scenery and lighting. If we can keep them appreciating the ballet all through their lives two women will be absolutely thrilled to be married to these two. GR was a frog this year and what a cute frog she was. Having watched her first recital three years ago, it is truly amazing to watch how graceful she has become . She is well on her way to becoming a fabulous performer and I cannot wait for next years performance.

Monday has been jam packed. We sent Mom on her way back home, Sis watch GR in concert at school this morning while I watched five, count them, five kids, two of which are under 9 months. I did it and am still here to talk about it!! Then we went out to meet some wonderful blogging ladies and capped it of with a trip to the Corner Gas set. All this will have to wait for tomorrow as I am beat and haven’t unloaded the camera yet.

Watching my two kids swinging together and having fun is priceless.  Having Apple stick her little tongue out at me is wonderful, considering I just found out she is tongue-tied.

Apple’s laugh is infectious and I just love it.  J’s silliness is wonderful and I wish that he was that happy all the time.  His best buddy was over running through the sprinkler with him, so life was very good in his books.  And J finally giving me a wonderful smile instead of hamming it up.

Today wasn’t quite as warm and we had a thunderstorm.  In addition I also had to go to swimming lessons with J and swim!  Not the worst I have looked in a bathing suit, but not the best either.

And the best compliment I have ever had came today. It just warmed my heart.  I took photos of both J and his buddy in the sprinkler and sent some photos to his Mom through email.  Her and her Hubby thought they were fabulous and asked if I would do their family portraits!  I felt so blessed.  But, had to admit that portrait work is my weakest.  I work best from a distance  and when the subject isn’t always ready for my shots.  But, I will take the compliment and work towards learning a bit more about portrait work so one day I could possibly do it.

J:”Mommy, it’s green”

Me:”Yes J but, that is not our light, our light is in front of us and it is red”.

J: “That’s ok Mommy, you can use the other green.”

—–

J:”Mommy, what is that stick?”

Me: “What Stick are you talking about?”

J: “That stick, there are a bunch of them sticking up from the ground.”

Me: “You mean the trees?”

J: “Is that what they are?”

Me: “Yes, buddy, they just don’t have any leaves yet.”

J: “Ohhhh, so they are sticks in the ground.”

Me: “Basically, Yes.”

——

J: “Mommy, what is that white stuff in the corn field?”

Me: Laughing hysterically, while trying to keep my eye on the road. “You mean the snow?”

J: “Snow?”

Me: “Yes, Bud, snow.  It hasn’t all melted yet”.

J: “Ohhh…  Hey Mommy?

Me: “Yes?”

J: “Stop laughing at me, it’s not that funny”

Me: “I can’t stop buddy, it is just that funny.”
