I was tagged by Beanish and Other Languages I’m Learning for the seven things meme. I have done this one a couple of times so I am hard pressed to find seven more things interesting about me. So, bear with me if I am repeating myself. Here it goes
1. I collect Magazines. I can’t help it, I buy a magazine then can’t seem to throw it away. I had ten full years of Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Glamour. Then I stopped buying them, but couldn’t get rid of the old ones. One day, out of the blue I let them go. Put them to the curb on bluebox day and that was it. Then I started buying Martha Stewart Living…..
2. I have never dyed my hair. I had a stylist tell me she new the perfect shade of blonde for me (after I was complaining that my hair went dark after J was born) and I had to laugh because she didn’t know me when I was blonde, so I told her if I ever decided to dye my hair I would bring a photo of myself.
3. I wear reading glasses. I know so young and wearing reading glasses. But, apparently if I had had them in High School, I wouldn’t have suffered from migranes so much.
4. I lived in England for a year when I was six/seven (I had my seventh birthday there). I remember all the castles, taking a boat ride on the Thames, walking accross London Bridge and going to Brighton Beach . We also visited Paris (which is where I celebrated my seventh birthday) I didn’t go up the Eiffel Tower because I figured we would be back again soon. I have never been back.
5. I am 5 foot 10 inches. I have two Sisters shorter than me, one by an inch the other by four inches. I am still one of the shortest in my extended family. All my cousins but one set of twins are taller than me, but two inches or more. I have forty odd cousins.
6. I can play the piano with my toes. Among other things. I haven’t practiced in a long long time, but I used to be pretty good. It was just something I tried one day and realized I could do it.
7. I used to drive a motorcycle (mine was a 1990 though not a 2000 like the link). I think I have mentioned this many times. It is just that I do miss it somedays. Not on the days when someone flies by me going double the speed limit or when someone flies through a stop sign or red light. But on those sunny warm days when you just want to feel the wind and ride. I replaced it with a convertible, which I also miss, but vow to get another when the kids are old enough. The sun roof just doesn’t cut it.
I did get a scanner for Christmas, so I may be able to dig up a few photos from England and one of me and my bike. I’ll put that on the todo list 🙂

BeachMama: Ah ha ha, I do actually have grey, but thanks to originally being blonde you can’t really notice, not yet anyway 🙂

I used to collect magazines. I had a complete set of late 80’s/early 90’s magazines at my parents house that I finally got rid of a year ago. I’m learning to let go of stuff- but I can totally relate to magazine collection. Now, I collect the “interesting” pages in them! 🙂
As a pianist, I’d like to see a video of you playing piano with your toes!!! And I can only imagine the “other things” you can do!!!
BeachMama: I really wanted to take pages out of the magazines, but it would have taken too long and most likely they would have never made it to the curb. I am better now at ripping pages out :). And yes, the toes are fun ;).

BeachMama: Don’t feel sorry for her, she made up for it in other ways. And, according to her, she rather likes being shorter than the rest of us. We all have trouble finding pants that are long enough, where she has no problem at all.

I also collect magazines, I can’t bear to throw out my House and Home. The fashion ones I’ve finally licked, but Chatelaine and Today’s parents sit around for about a year before I do anything about it. Hubs has made the mistake of trying to recycle some before their “archival” dates and barely lived to tell the tale.

I actually miss reading mags! I might subscribe to a couple cause it’s fun getting them in the mailbox.
As for London, I lived there for five years and the place has changed. It’s mostly Muslim and there are no more authentic fish shops anymore.
BeachMama: No more authentic fish shops?? I still remember the one in Sutton we used to stop at all the time, not far from our flat. Wow. I guess I should consider myself lucky to have one close by here. We just pretend we are in London when we eat there :).
