And a Beavertail He Had

President Obama had a wonderful visit to our city or so they tell us.

I, myself, got caught up in traffic on the way to lunch with some friends. Originally we were going to go to the Market, but changed plans due to road closures. I was able to see President Obama’s car drive by on a bridge ahead of me, it was a thrill.

I got home and the Live press conference was on tv. I tried to listen but the phone kept ringing.

The most exciting part today was that President Obama made an impromptu visit to the Market, for yes, a Beavertail!Β  He also stopped in a bakery and shook a few hands.Β  All was a flurry on the Market as he was not expected to stop there at all.Β  He will be the talk of the town for a long time to come.

Thank you President Obama and I hope you and Prime Minister Harper had as great visit today as the reports are all saying.

If I was only in town for 6 hours I’d make sure I got a Beavertail before I left too!

Luckily I can have one whenever I like… which is probably much too often πŸ˜›

Don’t you love it when these guys doing something spontaneous?! While on the campaign trail, Hilary stopped for lunch at a roadside diner. I heard the interview with her waitress on public radio after the fact. :)

That’s great that he had a beavertail…and one named in his honour, I guess! That must have been something to see the car go by knowing that he was in it…I think it was a very successful visit.

Now I want a beavertail too, yummmm
