A Touch of Spring

Nothing breaks my Winter spirit more than a touch of Spring to remind us how beautiful it is to be outside without freezing our tushies off.  I can make it through the -30C’s just fine until it starts to warm up.  Once I feel the warm sunshine on my face and get out in just a fleece, there is no turning back.

Or is there? After a glowingly warm weekend where we spent tonnes of time outside we woke up to cold winds, blowing snow and freezing rain.

I think I want to stay inside until Winter is officially over.

I was in Toronto this weekend and it rained all weekend. i was so bummed when i heard it was beautiful here. This morning, mixed in with the time change, just about killed me.

Yes, this morning was just not right. Didn’t seem possible. My oldest had his BIKE out yesterday, riding around our crescent!! And back to boots and snow pants today to go to school. Your pictures are so cute! Matching red snowsuit and shovel 🙂

Please send that our way? Pretty, pretty please?

-35 here today. To say that I am so over winter is the understatement of the year:)

Too bad we can’t balance each other out. We’re hitting 80 degrees here!

    I second that!
I got James all ready to go to daycare in his stroller only to open the door to a mess of snow and slush!
I love winter but I am so ready for spring already!

    I concur.

This weekend was fabulous! My boys were outside all weekend long, loving the weather. We took a nice walk together, my 1 year old in the little car and my 3 year old pushing him. And then my 3 year old was just playing construction worker – and he told me ‘mom, today is the last day of winter!’ I was like, ‘I hope so, my love…’ I had to tell him that we’re going to get some more snow this week, but after that, it will all melt. We have spring fever, bad!
