Run for the Cure

Thank you to all who donated and supported me for the run this morning.  As you can see by the Start line above (for the walkers) that everyone is bundled up for the chilly morning.

Hubby made it with the kids with just a minute or two to spare, he had to park quite far away and almost run with the kids to get a photo for me.

It was a very emotional run.  Not only because I was running for my girlfriends, but because of all the people’s messages on their shirts.  Everyone was running for somebody they loved.  I was able to run the whole 5k without stopping, thanks to the energy of the crowd and some tunes pumping through my phone.

Hubby walked up the parkway a bit and got this photo of me not too far from the finish line.  I truly hope that one day we won’t have to run.

Thank you.

GOOD WORK!! That money is so needed. I know too many women who battle breast cancer.

I love charity races. I’m on my second Team in Training event — a marathon in January.

    Anna, awesome.
we have a local “fun walk” here towards the end of Pink October – 3000 women expected to turn up for (i think it’s about) 4.5km walk/run.
it’s a Huge Dress Ups occasion, everything is pink and sparkly and lots of chicks wear their underwear on the outside of their tshirt etc.
i’m walking with a group of girlfriends, will think of you and yours then too.

Awesome work! My friend did the run for the cure this weekend too. She had pink hair extension. I’ve heard that the run is very emotional. Good for you for doing it.

Such a good cause, I participate in our local Race for the Cure each year. Thank you for participating, everything that we can do to help cure diseases is an effort to be applauded!

Awesome, congrats. I did that one last year (not sure why I didn’t this year) and it was emotional/inspirational.

    Wow, congrats!
I too hope that someday a run is not needed anymore!
    Great job!
