Hi there, I am Anna, aka.BeachMama. And welcome to my beach.
Truth be told, I live no where near a beach. But, I have loved the ocean and the oceanside beaches for as long as I can remember. My dream would be to own beach front property and spend summers with the family at the beach. Until such time as that happens we live quite happily in Ottawa, Canada and spend at least one week every summer at the beach.
I am a Stay-at-home Mom, a title that I don’t exactly relish, but it is out there and that is exactly what I am. At the same time that I take care of J and Apple and occaisionaly A, I also clean, cook, and try to get things done so that when Hubby is home from work our together as a family is spent enjoying each other instead of running around doing chores.
I started blogging because I started reading blogs and I felt I needed a little something to give back out there. I was a lurker for almost six months before making my first comments, but now I love it. I love all the new wonderful people I have met and hope to one day be able to meet all of you in person, until then I hope we can continue to inspire each other and keep each other company.
I do have a few hobbies that I get to do in my spare time, when all the other fun stuff is finished. I sew. And truthfully I love it. I tried sewing at home for a little extra income but it became more of a full time job, so I had to let that go and now sew for me and family. I cook and bake, a little too much sometimes. And because I don’t have an office to go to I don’t bake as much anymore, as I would and often do consume more more than I need to.
I love photography. After high school, I wanted to study photography but somehow never made it there. I was devoted to my SLR until I received my first Nikon DSLR in 2006 . 30,000+ photos later I have become a digital media lover. I started my Photography Business at the end of 2008 and have been building my client base ever since.
I also always wanted to be a writer. I don’t consider myself a great writer, but someone who likes to write. I did write a novel in November 2006 and hope to one day put it out there.
Thank you for stopping by and don’t forget to make sure there is always a little sand in your happy place.
